The Wella Company, which owns beauty and haircare brands OPI and Nioxin Pro Clinical, appointed Javier Huerta as its chief supply chain officer, effective Dec. 1, according to an Oct. 23 press release.
In his new role, Huerta will lead a global supply chain team of about 2,000 people to evolve the company’s sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and logistics capabilities, per the release. Together, these areas aim to support the company’s omnichannel strategy, which include e-commerce and direct-to-consumer platforms for select brands.

Huerta joins the hair and nail company with 30 years of experience working at Imperial Brands, a tobacco and nicotine product manufacturer. At Imperial Brands, Huerta built the company’s first integrated end-to-end global supply chain, per the release.
Prior to Imberial Brands, Huerta worked at Unilever and Nestlé.
At Unilever, Huerta served the company for over 11 years where he held roles such as EVP of supply chain foods and refreshment and VP of global supply chain strategy and operations, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He also served over 13 years at Nestlé in roles such as operations performance director, industrial engineer manager and manufacturing manager for soluble coffee.
The Wella Company also announced a series of other leadership changes. Yannis Rodacanachi was named chief brand officer, Carole Gardner Diarra as chief marketing officer and Victoria Spadaro Grant as chief scientific and product officer, according to the press release.
“These changes support The Wella Company’s priorities in brand building, innovation, and omnichannel strategy,” per the release.
