Good Culture appointed CPG veteran Kirk Jensen as chief operating officer, overseeing supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and quality, according to a press release emailed to Supply Chain Dive.
Jensen, former COO at The Honest Kitchen, will “focus on strengthening supply chain and manufacturing operations to improve availability and speed to shelf for retail partners, while maintaining the same recipes, ingredients, and quality standards that consumers expect from Good Culture," Jesse Merrill, CEO and co-founder of the cottage cheese brand, said in an email.
Before Jensen's appointment, Didier Aziza held both the COO and CFO roles, according to his LinkedIn profile.
"Bringing in a dedicated COO lets us add the operational depth and infrastructure we'll need for our next phase," Merrill said.
Good Culture also created a director of logistics position, which it is filling, Merrill said. The director will optimize the distribution network as the company grows.
Jensen has more than two decades of operations leadership experience in packaged foods, Good Culture said in the release. He previously spent more than two years as COO of The Honest Kitchen, where he remains an advisor.
Earlier, Jensen served as COO and chief supply chain officer at Sovos Brands for nearly six years, where he helped scale Rao's spaghetti sauce brand and propel Sovos past $1 billion in net sales before Campbell Soup Company acquired it in 2024, according to Good Culture.
"His deep expertise in refrigerated manufacturing, complex partner ecosystems, and scaling supply chains makes him a particularly strong fit for Good Culture as we enter this next phase of growth," Merrill said.
Jensen said in the release that Good Culture's growth trajectory made it a "compelling opportunity."
Private-equity firm L Catterton bought a majority stake in Good Culture in January, with the company planning to use the investment to expand production capacity and accelerate growth.
The next month, Semcap Food & Nutrition invested an additional $55 million in Good Culture to further fund its growth. The firm first partnered with the company in 2021.
