Dive Brief:
- Veho has launched coverage in Southern California, allowing the parcel carrier to deliver to much of Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County and the Inland Empire, according to a Sept. 10 announcement.
- The company opened new distribution centers in Santa Fe Springs and Ontario to support the launch, with the facilities enabling the delivery of more than 100,000 parcels per week. Veho has begun conducting deliveries in the region for about a dozen clients at launch, including enterprise e-commerce brands and third-party logistics providers, Veho Communications Director Evan Wagner said in an email.
- The expansion brings 8 million more U.S. consumers within reach of Veho's fast-growing delivery network. The company is planning to add further in-state coverage and distribution center launches in the months ahead.
Dive Insight:
Veho has had its eye on the Golden State for years, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Fred Cook said in a LinkedIn post.
"Huge number of client fulfillment centers, enormous metro areas, fair weather all made it perfect for our model," Cook said. "But between the cost and client demand, we got pulled East."
As Veho's capabilities have improved, the carrier has expanded into markets like Southern California that are more demanding in terms of regulatory and technological needs, co-founder and CEO Itamar Zur said in an August interview with Supply Chain Dive.
"California has its own set challenges," Zur said. "But, you know, at this point we feel very ready."
Beyond the Golden State, Veho aims to launch in additional markets in the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest, in addition to "deepening our expansion in New York City," according to Zur. That would advance the delivery provider's aim to cover every major metro U.S. area in the next two years, he added.
For now, Veho can reach 38% of the country's population across 56 markets following the Southern California expansion. The company, which delivers for retailers like Macy's, Sephora and Lululemon, has seen demand climb as shippers explore carrier options beyond FedEx and UPS.
"Today, brands initiate millions of e-commerce deliveries through Veho’s network per month, with volume having more than doubled so far in 2025 alone," Veho said in the announcement.
