Instant Pot Brands named Rudy Sumarli as EVP of supply chain and research and development, according to an April 1 press release.
Sumarli comes with experience in supply chain, operations and engineering management. He also has consumer packaged goods experience across electronics and consumer durable businesses.
The executive currently serves as VP of global operations and supply chain at Newell Brands, according to his LinkedIn account. Instant Pot did not respond to a request for comment regarding Sumarli’s start date by the time of publication.
In the past, the executive has worked for GE, Dell, Eaton and Harman, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics.
The leadership change comes as Instant Pot has emerged from bankruptcy as a standalone company away from Instant Brands. The company said that after successfully navigating the pandemic and the global supply chain crisis, it still found itself facing global macroeconomic and geopolitical challenges, according to a June 2023 press release.
