Hormel Foods named Hershey veteran Will Bonifant group VP and chief supply chain officer, effective March 9.

Bonifant will lead the global supply chain for the branded food company, including procurement, manufacturing, planning, logistics and engineering, according to Hormel's Feb. 12 press release.
“Will is a proven supply chain leader who has scaled complex operations and built modern capabilities across global networks,” Hormel President John Ghingo said in the release. “His forward‑looking leadership and ability to drive transformation across complex systems will be instrumental as we advance our long‑term strategy and strengthen our global supply chain.”
Bonifant has worked at Hershey for more than 15 years and currently serves as VP of manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain strategy, according to his LinkedIn profile. He oversees 20 manufacturing plants that support Hershey's North America confection and salty snacks business units.
Bonifant also has experience in Hershey’s Canada and international markets, including leading the brand’s end-to-end supply chain in China, per the Hormel release.
Before joining Hershey, Bonifant served as project lead at the Boston Consulting Group, focusing on strategy, organizational design, supply chain transformation and cost optimization across multiple industries, according to the release.
