- A multi-billion-dollar automotive retailer recently adopted TAKE's One SCM cloud-based solution, which emphasizes its capacity to acquire real-time data, a centralized dashboard, and enhanced visibility, according to a press release.
- The company claims its technology streamlines inbound, outbound and supply chain operations by providing a "single version of truth" for multiple systems, including invoice processing, order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes.
- Using automation to facilitate administrative processes should help liberate staff for more strategic tasks, the company states.
Transparency along the supply chain is becoming increasingly indispensable for every level of business, Brad Huff, EVP and General Manager of TAKE Supply Chain told Supply Chain Dive. The automotive retailer which adopted the solution engages with roughly 15,000 customers, many suppliers and various warehouses, but did not have an integrated system to manage these.
TAKE is currently seeing a steady 10-15% growth rate.
Software-as-a-Service solutions have long been popular among supply chain managers, but decreased fulfillment timelines, increased availability of data, and increased technological acumen are sparking renewed interest in integrated platforms. Why have three systems when one can do the trick?
"In the real world, supply chain visibility solutions are of ultimate importance," he said. "People need to know when to expect their items in order for them to successfully carry on with their own business."
"We're still in the evangelizing stage," Huff admitted. "But transparency is definitely the wave of the future."
