The Children’s Place Inc., which includes its namesake retail brand and Gymboree, named Kristin Clifford as SVP, head of sourcing and product operations, effective Feb. 24, according to a press release.
The role builds on Clifford’s current responsibilities as the retailer’s SVP, head of sourcing, per the release. In her expanded role, Clifford will now oversee sourcing, product operations, and international and technical design.
The news is part of a larger executive shuffle, which includes Aleksandra Kinney’s promotion to GVP, head of global planning and inventory, in addition to joining the senior leadership team, according to the release. Kinney first joined Children’s Place in 2018 as director of inventory management.
The Children’s Place made several other executive changes, including appointing Kim Roy as executive director and Lisa Pillette as chief customer officer.
Several other retailers have also been undergoing leadership changes in supply chain management. Last year, PVH Corp. — the parent company of brands Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger — appointed Patricia Gabriel as its chief supply chain officer and global head of operations.
More recently, in January, Nordstrom promoted Jason Bell to chief supply chain officer after years of serving as SVP of supply chain operations, overseeing the retailer’s network, fulfillment and distribution operations.
