Packaged meals producer FreshRealm recently hired Stacey Wallace as its chief supply chain officer, according to a May 15 press release.
In her new role, Wallace will oversee the company’s supply chain, planning and fulfillment operations to optimize FreshRealm’s infrastructure for short-shelf-life products.
Wallace most recently served as chief supply chain officer at online art marketplace Redbubble Group. She also previously held senior roles within multiple Amazon divisions, including Fulfillment by Amazon, Amazon Fresh and Amazon Books.
“FreshRealm is on a mission to fundamentally transform how food is developed, manufactured and fulfilled,” FreshRealm CEO and founder Michael Lippold said in a statement. “Her proven track record and expertise in supply chain optimization will be instrumental in further enhancing our operational efficiency, driving innovation across the company and delivering sustainable growth. We look forward to achieving new heights of success together.”
The fresh meals producer has been making adjustments to its supply chain over the past two years.
In February, FreshRealm acquired three fulfillment and production facilities from meal kit company Marley Spoon. The move was part of a larger push by FreshRealm to become the meal kit company’s exclusive manufacturing partner in the U.S. In 2023, Blue Apron — another meal kit provider — sold its fulfillment centers to FreshRealm in a bid to drive profitability.
