Chick-fil-A Supply, the distribution subsidiary of Chick-fil-A Inc., plans to open a 244,000-square-foot distribution center in Winter Haven, Florida, according to a Nov. 24 FloridaCommerce press release.
The more than $150 million investment, supported by the Winter Haven Economic Development Council, CSX and the State of Florida, is slated to open in 2027, per the release. The new facility is expected to serve around 170 restaurants and create upwards of 180 jobs.
“We're grateful to Winter Haven and the State of Florida for the opportunity to become part of the community and look forward to serving Chick-fil-A restaurants across the state,” Chick-fil-A Supply Executive Director Josh Grote said in the release.
Chick-fil-A made its first delivery from a company-owned distribution center in 2019 and has since steadily expanded its supply chain operations. There are currently 11 distribution centers in Chick-fil-A Supply’s network, including a location in Weston, Florida, per the press release.
In 2023, Chick-fil-A announced plans to build a distribution center in Kannapolis, North Carolina, which was expected to be operational starting last year. Prior to that, the restaurant’s subsidiary announced a $31 million distribution facility in Kansas, as well as a location in Missouri.
